Oct 31, 2014  Microsoft this morning released a new version of its Outlook for Mac email client with improvements in the user interface and under-the-hood performance. Open the Microsoft Store app by typing 'Microsoft Store' into the taskbar search and press Enter. Click on the icon choose Downloads and Updates. Click Get Updates. Note:  If you get a 'You're good to go' message after clicking Get Updates, you don't have any new updates to install. If the installation finishes successfully, you can remove the update installer from your hard disk. Oct 10, 2019  If you see 'Office Updates' under Product Information, as shown in the following figure, you are using a Click-to-run installation of Office. To see the latest version information for click-to-run installations, click Update Options, and then click View Updates. The update process is standard, a 6.5GB download then up to 45 minutes for the actual install. Apple recommends having at least 20GB of free disk space for the changeover. The update is normal for Mac’s and mostly happens without human intervention. The problem is the update aftermath. Notification program permissions have to be reconfirmed.

Office for Mac that comes with an Office 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. The following information is primarily intended for IT professionals that are deploying Office for Mac to the users in their organizations.

• The update history information for version 16.16 and earlier also applies to Office 2016 for Mac, which is also a version of Office for Mac that’s available as a one-time purchase. Older versions up to and including 16.16 can be activated with an Office 2016 for Mac volume license. You can’t activate version 16.17 or later with an Office 2016 for Mac volume license.
