Bug: Profile setting reverts back to default

It appears that when a profile is set it won't always 'stick' on that profile.
I am using a Logitech C920, and Camtasia.
If I open Camtasia, and hit the 'open recorder' button, I see a live video feed.
This feed won't be running my 'Load at start' profile.
I then open the 'Webcam Settings' menu and select my 'Load at start' profile (which is selected, but just not active), and the live feed adjusts as expected.
If I now hit record on Camtasia, the live feed reverts back to another profile setting (presumably the 'Default Camera' setting).
WORK AROUND 1:
1. Before I hit the Camtasia record button, I open the Webcam Settings 'Show Webcam Settings Panel'.
2. I then select my desired profile.
3. I change a setting like the brightness, and hit the 'Update Profile' button
4. I then close the Webcam Settings Panel
5. Then quit Webcam settings app completely, and restart it
6. I can now record with Camtasia it the correct profile is applied
WORK AROUND 2:
1. Start Camtasia by hitting the record button
2. Open the Webcam Settings 'Show Webcam Settings Panel'
3. Change the profile, and select 'Load on start'
4. Change the profile back to the one you want and select 'Load on start'
5. Finish your video recording, and edit out the profile change
However once recording has finished I need to repeat this work around again, otherwise the settings won't stay applied.

Fixes video but breaks audio! Beware!!!

I bought this to solve the masive over exposure I was facing with the Microsoft LifeCam Studio camera with my MacPro (late 2013) and this is an officially supported camera for this app. WEBCAM SETTINGS fixes the video beautifully and is a great app for such a task, BUT it then does something to the microphone and is unusable.
I was more than happy with the video results but then when making some Skype calls, I was informed from the recieving side that the mic audio was cracking and humming slightly, making it painful to listen to. Without the video settings this app applies, the mic works perfectly. So I am confused as to what to do, as there is no settings in this app to control audio. So for the Microsoft LifeCam Studio, it simply doesn’t work - it fixes one thing but breaks another.
I have tried now on both my MacPro and Macbook Air and exactly the same issue occurs. I don’t want to have to buy a Logitech camera, as frankly they are all hideous and would make a high tech set up, look like Fisher-Price toys.
I doubt I will ever get a refund for this app or there will ever be an update to fix this issue. Does anyone out there know how to fix this????????

Everything Logitech should have done for the C920

I had been rmoderately happy with the Logitech C920 but, as a Mac user, dismayed by Logitech's unwillingness to provide the customisation software it provides PC users.
This nifty app is exactly what you wished Logitech had done. It works seemlessly by identifying the camera in seconds then provides exposure and backlight controls, zoom, pan and tilt, colour balance, anti-flicker controls and more. It functions perfectly with MS Teams, Skype, Facetime, Bluejeans, Zoom, etc.
Not cheap, but worth every penny.
I'm now very happy with the Logitech C920—thanks to this app, not thanks to Logoitech!
